Under the baton our new Musical Director, Sarah Baldock, Winchester Music Club celebrates Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music, in Winchester Cathedral on 22 November 2022.

Sarah is no stranger to Winchester: prior to becoming Organist and Master of the Choristers at Chichester Cathedral and more recently Organist at Cheltenham Ladies College, she was founder Director of the Girls’ Choir and Assistant Director of Music at Winchester Cathedral.

Finzi 'For St Cecilia'

Winchester Music Club Choir and Orchestra will be joined by Winchester College Chapel Choir and Glee Club to perform English composer Gerald Finzi’s “For St Cecilia”, a ceremonial ode for tenor solo, chorus & orchestra, on the 75th anniversary of its premier in the Royal Albert Hall. WMC is delighted to welcome soprano Anna Dennis back to Winchester.
