WMC chorus members are being offered vocal coaching by Claire Williams. Claire sang as a chorister at Ripon Cathedral before moving onto Uppingham School as a Music Scholar. She continued her studies at both the Royal Academy of Music, with Michael Chance and James Baillieu and Guildhall School of Music, London with Susan Waters.
Recent solo performances include the Duruflé Requiem in Leeds Minster for Leeds Philharmonic Chorus; Dido, Dido and Aeneas by Purcell with Le Concert D’Anvers Orchestra on including a sold out performance in DeSingel, Antwerp and Leuven Stadsschouwburg, Leuven, Belguim; Queen Eltruda, Alfred by Thomas Arne for Doha Baroque Ensemble and The British Embassy, Qatar. Claire regularly performs as a soloist with choral societies and orchestras around the country, including Southern Sinfonia, Orpheus Orchestra, Amade Players, Musica Poetica and at the St. Endellion Festival, Cornwall. She has enjoyed singing in venues such as Cadogan Hall; St. John’s, Smith Square; St. Martin-in-the-fields; Chartres Cathedral and La Madeleine, Paris.
